Biography
Born in Colón City, Panama, he is a Panamanian singer, songwriter, actor, and TV host.
He grew up surrounded by a family of artists. His first performance was in 1995 at the age of 14, where he won the 20-30 Youth Talent Festival on Telemetro Channel 13.
In 1999, he recorded his first song, “Soñar Despierto” (Dreaming Awake). A year later, in 2000, he traveled to Acapulco, Mexico, as a backup singer for his brother Jorge Bordanea at the OTI International Song Festival, representing Panama.
In 2006, he released “Como un Pirata” (As A Pirate), which reached the top of the charts on romantic radio stations in Panama City. He opened for major international artists such as José Feliciano, Armando Manzanero, Alejandro Fernández, Franco De Vita, Raúl Di Blasio, and Ricardo Arjona.
In 2011, together with singer and songwriter Leonel Smith, he produced an excellent single called “Lunes” (Monday). Juan Carlos decided to take a break from performing until 2019, when he released “Tu Mirada” (Your Gaze), followed by “Loco Locolo” in 2020. He also represented Panama at the Punta del Este Song Festival in Uruguay with the song “Amarte en Silencio” (Loving You in Silence).
